In this policy, “ExoticRx,” “we,” and “us” mean Milata LLC, doing business as ExoticRx.

1. Essential Cookies

These cookies are required for the Service to function and cannot be disabled:

• Login session: Maintains your login state and identity (exoticrx_session)
• Access & refresh tokens: Encrypted cookies holding the OAuth access and refresh tokens that keep you signed in (exoticrx_access_token, exoticrx_refresh_token)
• Sign-out token: Encrypted OIDC id_token used only to sign you out cleanly (exoticrx_id_token)

Your preferences and some working data are kept in your browser's own storage rather than in cookies. They are listed in section 2.

2. Information Stored in Your Browser

Besides cookies, the ExoticRx website keeps the items below in your browser's storage on this device. They are not sent to us by being stored there. Each is listed by the name you will see in your browser's developer tools. Analytics identifiers are covered in section 3.

Removing all of it: clearing your browser's site data for exoticrx.com deletes every item in this section, the offline copies included. Signing out also deletes the items marked “removed when you sign out”, so the next person to use this browser does not see them.

Local storage (kept until removed)

• Recent calculations (exoticrx-recent-calcs). What: your last 10 calculations while signed in: the drug, species, patient weight and unit, route, indication and concentration you entered, and the full result (dose, volume, warnings and source). Why: the Recent calculations list and one-click recalculation. It is a copy of the calculation history your account keeps. How long: until you remove entries or choose Clear all in that list, sign out, or clear site data. Removed when you sign out.
• Last species (exoticrx-last-species). What: the species you last picked in the calculator. Why: to offer it first next time. How long: until you pick another, sign out, or clear site data. Removed when you sign out.
• Upgrade reminder counters (exoticrx:nudge:free-calc-count, exoticrx:nudge:dismissed-at). What: how many calculations have been run on the free plan since the last reminder, and when you last chose Not now. Why: to show the upgrade reminder after a few calculations and not again for 30 days after you dismiss it. How long: until you sign out or clear site data. Removed when you sign out.
• Theme (exoticrx-theme). What: light, dark or system. Why: to show the site in the theme you chose. How long: until you change it or clear site data.
• Cookie choice (exoticrx-cookie-consent). What: whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. Why: so the banner does not ask again and analytics stay off if you said no. How long: until you change it from Cookie preferences in the footer or clear site data.
• Rounding preferences (exoticrx:calc:dose-round, exoticrx:calc:volume-round). What: the dose and volume rounding steps you chose on a result. Why: to apply the same steps to later results. How long: until you choose another step or clear site data.
• Install prompt (exoticrx-a2hs-dismissed-at). What: when you dismissed the “add to home screen” prompt. Why: so it is not shown again for 30 days. How long: until you clear site data.
• Dashboard introduction (exoticrx-onboarding-dismissed). What: when you closed the introduction shown on your first visit to the dashboard. Why: so it is shown only once. How long: until you clear site data.

Session storage (deleted when you close the tab)

• Disclaimer banner (exoticrx-disclaimer-dismissed). What: that you closed the dosage disclaimer banner. Why: so it stays closed in this tab. How long: until you close the tab.
• Recalculation notice (exoticrx-recalc-notice). What: a one-time message that the source rule behind a saved calculation has changed. Why: to show it on the next page. How long: deleted as soon as it is shown, when you sign out, or when you close the tab. Removed when you sign out.
• Email unsubscribe (unsub-applied: followed by the code from your emailed link). What: that the unsubscribe link has already been applied in this tab. Why: so reloading the page does not apply it again. How long: until you resubscribe on that page, sign out, or close the tab. Removed when you sign out.

Offline copies (service worker cache)

• Offline pages and files. What: copies of the home page, drug list, articles, interaction checker, the fluids, CRI, emergency and unit-conversion calculators and the offline page, saved when the site is first loaded; copies of other public pages you open; and the site's scripts, styles, images and fonts. Your dashboard, account, history and saved-patient pages are never copied. Why: so the site keeps working when you lose connection, for example in a barn or mobile clinic. How long: until an update to the site's offline support replaces them, or you clear site data.
• A page opened with its inputs in the address, such as a calculator link that includes a species and weight, is copied under that address, so the address itself records those inputs. These copies are removed when you sign out.

3. Optional Analytics

With your consent, we load two analytics tools to understand how the Service is used. Neither runs until you click Accept All in the consent banner; if you click Reject Optional, neither is loaded and no analytics identifier is stored.

• Cloudflare Web Analytics (cloudflare.com/web-analytics) — a privacy-first page-view beacon. It sets no cookies, does no cross-site tracking, and Cloudflare does not retain IP addresses for this product (per Cloudflare's privacy policy).
• PostHog (PostHog, Inc., United States; posthog.com/privacy) — product-usage analytics, routed through a same-origin proxy on this domain (/ingest). Unlike the Cloudflare beacon, PostHog stores an analytics identifier in your browser (in local storage and/or a cookie) so repeat visits can be counted. Autocapture and session recording are disabled — we record only specific product events, never your form inputs or screen contents. When you are signed in, those events are associated with your account.

You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie preferences link in the footer, or by clearing your browser's site data for exoticrx.com — the banner will reappear on your next visit.

4. Advertising Cookies

ExoticRx does not use advertising cookies or share data with advertising networks. We will never sell your data to advertisers.

5. Managing Cookie Preferences

You can manage cookie preferences through the consent banner displayed on your first visit. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings at any time. Note that disabling essential cookies may prevent the Service from functioning correctly.
