Medicated water & feed calculator

A flock, an aviary or a pond is dosed through what it drinks or eats, not by the syringe. This works out how much product goes into each litre of water or kilogram of feed, and what dose that concentration actually delivers at the intake you enter.

Intake decides the dose, and intake is not stable. What a group drinks or eats changes with temperature, illness and palatability — a sick or unwell bird may drink or eat less, so the delivered mg/kg/day falls with it. The result below is only as good as the intake you enter.
This tool does arithmetic on numbers you enter. It makes no claim about whether a product may be given in water or feed, how well it dissolves or mixes, or how long a medicated supply stays potent — check the product label.
mg/kg/day

Every animal sharing the supply.

Water actually consumed, measured if possible. No species default is offered — we hold no sourced intake figure to give you.

Looking for a published dose?

Published drinking-water and in-feed doses are shown on each drug's page in the unit the source printed (for example mg/L of drinking water) — never converted to mg/kg. Search the Drug Catalog.
