Selective SGLT2 inhibitor blocking renal glucose reabsorption. Insulin-independent mechanism lowers blood glucose via glycosuria.
Cats only (FDA-approved). First SGLT2 inhibitor approved for cats. NOT for cats on insulin or with DKA/type 1 diabetes. Monitor for euglycemic DKA (ketone monitoring). Once daily.
