Mechanism of Action
Inhibits reuptake of norepinephrine and dopamine. Minimal serotonergic activity. Used off-label for feather-destructive behavior in birds.
Side effects & warnings
Lowers seizure threshold — contraindicated in patients with seizure history. May cause agitation, tremors, and appetite suppression. Narrow therapeutic index in small species.
