Clorsulon is dosed at 7 mg/kg PO once in dogs, per BSAVA Small Animal Formulary, 10th Ed. Verify against current literature before clinical use.
Inhibits glycolytic enzymes 3-phosphoglycerate kinase and phosphoglyceromutase in adult liver flukes (Fasciola hepatica).
Effective against adult Fasciola hepatica only. Often combined with ivermectin. Withdrawal times required in food animals.
