Salicylanilide anthelmintic effective against adult liver flukes (Fasciola hepatica) and adult rumen flukes (Paramphistomum spp.). Uncouples oxidative phosphorylation.
For cattle and sheep. Not effective against immature flukes. Often combined with levamisole for broad-spectrum coverage. Observe withdrawal periods. Diarrhea may occur post-treatment.
