Cationic bisbiguanide disrupting bacterial cell membranes. Broad-spectrum antimicrobial with residual activity binding to oral mucosa.
Used for dental/periodontal disease prevention. Binds to oral tissues providing residual activity. Bitter taste — palatability issues. Safe if small amounts swallowed.
