Reversible, non-competitive acetylcholinesterase inhibitor that increases acetylcholine concentrations at cholinergic synapses, improving cognitive function.
May cause GI upset, bradycardia, and muscle fasciculations. Monitor heart rate. Limited veterinary data — used investigationally for canine cognitive dysfunction.
