Yunnan Baiyao
Traditional Chinese medicine containing Panax notoginseng. Promotes platelet activation and aggregation, enhances fibrin cross-linking. Exact mechanism not fully elucidated.
Used for hemangiosarcoma bleeding, epistaxis, and perioperative hemostasis in dogs. Red emergency pill in capsule for severe bleeding. Evidence is mostly anecdotal/small studies.
