Ceftolozane-Tazobactam is dosed at 20–40 mg/kg IV q8h in dogs, per Plumb's Veterinary Drug Handbook, 9th Ed. Verify against current literature before clinical use.
Ceftolozane binds PBPs with high affinity; tazobactam protects against beta-lactamase degradation. Enhanced Pseudomonas activity.
Renal dose adjustment required. GI upset common. Very limited veterinary data — reserve for resistant infections.
