Mechanism of Action

Broad-spectrum bacteriostatic antibiotic binding 50S ribosomal subunit. Excellent ocular penetration. Compounded since commercial ophthalmic not available in US.

Side effects & warnings

Handler must wear gloves (human aplastic anemia risk). Effective for bacterial keratitis/conjunctivitis. Widely available in EU/UK as commercial product. 2-week BUD typically.
