Intal, Cromolyn Sodium
Stabilizes mast cell membranes preventing degranulation and release of histamine, leukotrienes, and other mediators. Prophylactic only — not effective during acute attack.
Prophylactic use only. Must be administered before allergen exposure. Limited veterinary evidence. Well tolerated. No bronchodilator activity.
