Haldol
Potent dopamine D2 receptor antagonist in the mesolimbic system. Used in avian medicine for severe feather-destructive behavior refractory to other treatments.
High risk of extrapyramidal signs and tardive dyskinesia. Hepatotoxic. Used in psittacines at very low doses. Monitor for rigidity and tremors.
