Isosorbide Mononitrate is dosed at 0.5–1 mg/kg PO q12-24h in cats, per Plumb's Veterinary Drug Handbook, 9th Ed. Verify against current literature before clinical use.
Active metabolite of isosorbide dinitrate that releases nitric oxide, dilating venous capacitance vessels and reducing cardiac preload.
Similar to isosorbide dinitrate but with more predictable oral bioavailability. Tolerance still develops. Hypotension possible.
