Dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker. Relaxes vascular smooth muscle, reducing peripheral vascular resistance and systemic blood pressure.
First-line antihypertensive in cats. Monitor blood pressure during dose titration. Hypotension at excessive doses. May cause gingival hyperplasia with prolonged use.
