Denavir
Activated by viral thymidine kinase. Triphosphate form inhibits viral DNA polymerase. Longer intracellular half-life than acyclovir.
Topical use only. For FHV-1 dermatitis in cats. Minimal systemic absorption. Apply with gloves. Limited veterinary evidence.
