Lincosamide antibiotic that binds to the 50S ribosomal subunit, inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. Active against gram-positive organisms including Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp.
Labeled for bovine mastitis only. Observe milk and slaughter withdrawal times. Cross-resistance with other lincosamides (clindamycin, lincomycin) and macrolides.
