Post-operative ocular inflammationPre-operative miosis prevention (cataract surgery)

Mechanism of Action

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory that inhibits cyclooxygenase, reducing prostaglandin synthesis in the eye. Prevents intraoperative miosis during ocular surgery.

Side effects & warnings

Used pre-operatively to maintain mydriasis during cataract surgery. Cross-sensitivity with systemic NSAIDs. May delay corneal healing. Stinging on instillation.
