Great horned owls (Bubo virginianus) are the most frequently rehabilitated owl in North America. Strigiform pharmacology is less well characterised than falconiform, so much owl dosing is extrapolated from raptors as a class rather than from owl-specific studies — ExoticRx flags the evidence level where that is the case.
