Cloprostenol is dosed at 0.001–0.003 mg/kg IM q24-48h in dogs, per Plumb's Veterinary Drug Handbook, 9th Ed. Verify against current literature before clinical use.
Synthetic prostaglandin F2α analog causing luteolysis (destruction of corpus luteum). Much more potent than natural PGF2α.
Handle with extreme caution — can cause abortion in pregnant women through skin absorption. Wear gloves. Bronchoconstriction risk in asthmatic handlers.
