Dronedarone is dosed at 5–10 mg/kg PO q12h in dogs, per Corroborated 2026-07-31: Saengklub N, et al. Multichannel blocker affecting sodium, potassium, and calcium channels and possessing anti-adrenergic properties. Structurally related to amiodarone but lacks iodine moiety.
Contraindicated in severe heart failure. Monitor hepatic function. Fewer thyroid/pulmonary toxicities than amiodarone. Very limited veterinary data.
