Mechanism of Action
Stimulates presynaptic secretin receptors (SLO-1 potassium channels) in nematodes, causing paralysis. Novel mechanism unrelated to other anthelmintics.
Side effects & warnings
Topical formulation for cats. Do not allow oral ingestion of topical product (salivation, vomiting). Novel anthelmintic class with activity against some resistant nematodes.
