Fourth-generation fluoroquinolone inhibiting both DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. Enhanced gram-positive coverage compared to earlier fluoroquinolones.
Good broad-spectrum coverage for bacterial keratitis/conjunctivitis. Well tolerated topically. Minimal systemic absorption. May be used as fortified drops.
