Ibrexafungerp is dosed at 5–10 mg/kg PO q12h day 1, then q24h in cats, per Plumb's Veterinary Drug Handbook, 9th Ed. Verify against current literature before clinical use.
Inhibits beta-1,3-D-glucan synthase at a site distinct from echinocandins. First oral glucan synthase inhibitor. Active against azole- and echinocandin-resistant Candida.
GI upset. Teratogenic — contraindicated in pregnancy. CYP3A4 interactions. Novel mechanism. No veterinary data.
