Prascend
Potent dopamine D1 and D2 receptor agonist. Inhibits melanotrope proliferation in pars intermedia. First-line treatment for equine PPID (Cushing's).
FDA-approved for equine PPID (Prascend). Anorexia and depression common initially — start low and titrate. Monitor ACTH levels. Rarely used in small animals.
