Mechanism of action
Stimulates soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) directly and sensitizes it to endogenous NO, increasing cGMP production and causing pulmonary vasodilation.
Side effects & warnings
Do not combine with PDE5 inhibitors (sildenafil) or nitrates. Hypotension risk. Teratogenic. Investigational for pulmonary hypertension in dogs.
