Mechanism of Action
Inhibits squalene epoxidase, blocking ergosterol biosynthesis in fungal cell membranes. Fungicidal against dermatophytes at therapeutic concentrations.
Side effects & warnings
For localized dermatophytosis. Systemic therapy preferred for widespread infections. May cause local irritation. Low systemic absorption from intact skin.
