Tinactin, Ting
Inhibits squalene epoxidase in dermatophytes, blocking ergosterol synthesis. Fungistatic against dermatophytes. Not active against Candida.
OTC topical antifungal. Generally very safe. Not effective against yeasts or deep fungal infections. Preventive use common.
