Long-acting third-generation cephalosporin. Single injection provides therapeutic levels for 14 days in dogs, 14-21 days in cats.
Single SC injection. Long duration means adverse effects also persist. Cannot be undone. Use judiciously to prevent resistance. Not effective against Pseudomonas.
