Digoxin toxicosis

Mechanism of Action

Ovine digoxin-specific Fab antibody fragments that bind free digoxin/digitoxin with high affinity, preventing receptor binding.

Side effects & warnings

Specific antidote for digoxin/digitoxin toxicosis. Very expensive. Dose based on amount of digoxin ingested or serum level. Effect within 30 minutes IV. Rarely available in veterinary settings.
