Inhibits influenza virus neuraminidase, preventing release of new viral particles from infected cells. Also reduces parvoviral bacterial translocation empirically.
Evidence for feline/canine use is limited. Used empirically for canine parvovirus (reduces bacterial translocation/sepsis). GI upset, vomiting possible.
