Neo-Synephrine
Selective alpha-1 adrenergic agonist causing vasoconstriction without direct cardiac stimulation. Increases SVR and blood pressure. Reflex bradycardia.
Pure vasopressor — no inotropic effect. Reflex bradycardia expected. Tissue necrosis with extravasation. Also used ophthalmically for mydriasis (2.5% — avoid 10% in small animals).
