Proin, Propalin
Alpha-1 adrenergic agonist increasing urethral sphincter tone. First-line treatment for hormone-responsive urinary incontinence in spayed females.
FDA-approved for dogs (Proin). Hypertension, tachycardia, restlessness, anorexia possible. Monitor blood pressure. Contraindicated with concurrent MAO inhibitors.
