Quaternary ammonium antimuscarinic that inhibits GI smooth muscle contraction and reduces gastric acid secretion by blocking muscarinic M1/M3 receptors.
Anticholinergic effects: dry mouth, constipation, urinary retention, mydriasis. Contraindicated in GI obstruction or glaucoma.
