Hycamtin
Semi-synthetic camptothecin analogue that inhibits topoisomerase I by stabilizing the enzyme-DNA complex, preventing DNA religation and causing lethal double-strand breaks.
Severe myelosuppression is dose-limiting. Monitor CBC closely. Dose-reduce in renal impairment. Used investigationally for lymphoma and solid tumors in dogs.
