Alkylates DNA, forming cross-links that inhibit DNA replication and transcription. Slow-acting with relatively mild myelosuppression.
Cytotoxic — handler precautions required (gloves). Myelosuppression (monitor CBC q2 weeks initially). Commonly used for feline small cell lymphoma and IBD. Well-tolerated in cats.
