Platinol
Forms DNA intrastrand and interstrand crosslinks leading to cell death. Most potent platinum agent.
ABSOLUTELY CONTRAINDICATED IN CATS (fatal pulmonary edema). Aggressive saline diuresis required to prevent nephrotoxicity. Severe emesis — antiemetic protocol mandatory. Ototoxic.
