Hydrophilic bile acid that displaces hepatotoxic bile acids, provides cytoprotective and anti-inflammatory effects on hepatocytes and biliary epithelium.
Easier to dose small animals than capsule form. Contraindicated in complete biliary obstruction. Monitor liver enzymes.
