Clinical context
Combined analgesic and anti-inflammatory therapy — most often NSAIDs with adjunct opioids or gabapentinoids. Choose by mechanism, not class: COX-2 selectivity reduces GI risk; opioid choice depends on procedure intensity and patient species; gabapentin and amantadine address neuropathic and central-sensitisation components.
