Mechanism of action
Selectively inhibits c-Kit receptor tyrosine kinase, PDGFR, and Lyn kinase. Targets mast cell tumor growth signaling. Also inhibits FGFR3.
Side effects & warnings
Approved for non-resectable grade II/III mast cell tumors with confirmed c-Kit mutation. GI upset, neutropenia, protein-losing nephropathy. Monitor CBC and urinalysis.
