Irreversible monoamine oxidase B (MAO-B) inhibitor increasing dopamine levels in the brain. Neuroprotective and cognitive-enhancing effects.
Side effects & warnings
FDA-approved for canine cognitive dysfunction syndrome (CDS) and canine pituitary-dependent Cushing's. Do not combine with SSRIs, TCAs, or meperidine (serotonin syndrome). 2-4 weeks for effect.
