Horse (Equine): Tylosin causes severe and sometimes fatal diarrhea in horsesPlumb's tylosin monograph states the drug is "contraindicated in horses, as severe and sometimes fatal diarrhea may result; the drug should be used with extreme caution, if at all, in other hindgut fermenters (eg, rabbits)."
